Why does not God answer my prayer?

340 why God hears my prayer not"Why does not God answer my prayer?", There must be a good reason for that, I always tell myself. Maybe I did not pray according to his will, which is a biblical requirement for answered prayers. Maybe I still have sins in my life that I have not regretted. I know that my prayers are likely to be answered sooner if I remain constantly in Christ and in His word. Maybe it's a doubt of faith. When praying, it sometimes happens that I ask for something, but doubt whether my prayer is worth listening to. God does not answer prayers that are not anchored in faith. I think, but sometimes I feel like my father in Markus 9,24, who cried in despair, "I think so; help my unbelief! "But perhaps one of the most essential causes of the unprecedented prayers is that I should learn to know Him deeply.

When Lazarus was dying, his sisters Marta and Mary Jesus informed Lazarus that he was very ill. Jesus then told his disciples that this disease would not lead to death, but serve the glorification of God. He waited two more days before finally making his way to Bethany. During this Lazarus was already dead. The cries for help from Marta and Maria had evidently not been answered. Jesus was aware of the fact that Marta and Mary as well as the disciples would learn and discover something very important! When Marta then approached him, in her view late arrival, he told her that Lazarus would be resurrected. She had already understood that there would be a resurrection on the "Last Day". What she had not realized, however, was that Jesus Himself is the resurrection and the life! And that everyone who believes in him would live, even if he died. We read about this conversation in John 11, 23-27: "Jesus speaks to her: your brother will rise again. Marta says to him: I know well that he will be resurrected - at the resurrection on the last day. Jesus speaks to her: I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even if he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you think the? She says to him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who came into the world." Just before Jesus then called Lazarus out of the grave, he said a prayer in the presence of the grieving people, that they might believe him to be the Messiah sent by God, "I know that you hear me at all times; but for the sake of the people that stand around, I say it, that they may believe that you have sent me.

"If Jesus had answered the request of Martha and Mary immediately after being brought to him, many people would have missed this important lesson. Similarly, we may ask what would happen in our lives and in our spiritual growth if all our prayers were answered promptly? Surely we would admire God's genius; but never really get to know him.

God's thoughts reach far beyond ours. He knows what, when and how much someone needs. He calculates all personal needs. If he gives me a request, that does not mean that the fulfillment would be good for another person who asked for the same.

So the next time we feel like God is abandoning us with unheard-of prayers, we should see far beyond our expectations and the expectations of others. Like Martha, let us shout out our faith in Jesus, the Son of God, and wait for him who knows what is best for us.
