Give your worst to the master

You may know the old hymn that begins by saying "Give your best to the Master, nothing else worthy of His love." It is a wonderful memory and an important one. God deserves our best that we can give him. But when we think about it, God not only wants our best - he also asks us to do our worst.

In 1. Peter 5,7 is told: All your worries throw on him; because he cares for you. Jesus knows that we are not always in the best shape. Even if we have been Christians for years, we still have worries and problems. We still make mistakes. We still sin. Even if we sing a song like Give Your Best to the Master, we finally give God our worst.

We can all relate to each other in the words of the Apostle Paul in the 7. Identify the chapter of Romans: For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. I want to, but I can not do the good. Because the good that I want, I do not do that; but the evil that I do not want, that's what I do. But when I do what I do not want, I do not do it, but the sin that dwells in me (Rom 7,18-20).

We all want to give our best to God, but in the end we give him our worst. And that's just the point. God knows our sins and our failures, and He has forgiven us all in Jesus Christ. He wants us to know that he loves us and cares for us. Jesus tells us: Come to me, all you who are laborious and laden; I want to refresh you (Mt 11,28). Give God your worries - you do not need them. Give God your fears. Give him your fear, your anger, your hatred, your bitterness, your disappointment, even your sins. We do not need to bear the burden of these things, and God does not want us to keep them. We have to give it to God because He wants to take it away from us, and He is the only one who can dispose of it properly. Give God all your bad habits. Give him all your grudges, all your immoral thoughts, all your addictions. Give him all your sins and all your guilt.

Why? Because God has already paid for it. It's his and by the way, it's not good for us to keep them. So we have to let go of our worst and hand over everything to God. Give all your guilt to God, all the negative things that we should not carry according to God's will. He loves you and he wants to take it out of your hands. Allow him to have everything.
You will not regret it.
