The heart's treasure
Today I am writing to you about my heart's treasure. Since last summer I have been suffering from a heart arrhythmia and have been unable to walk freely and without pain. Thanks to the determined treatment by a cardiologist, she was able to remedy this problem by performing a sclerotherapy procedure in the left ventricle. The points she treated looked like a stylistic flower on the X-ray. Many thanks to our Savior and to all the carers.
The heart is a precious treasure and with it our whole life. It is the vital organ that decides about our physical existence. It is our task to take care of the heart. How easily it is exposed to conscious and unforeseen dangers. It should not be strained and exhausted beyond its capabilities. In the worst case, from a purely human perspective, it stops beating. Physically speaking, this is the end of life. What a pity it would be if it had only been shaped by worldly values. Then our future would be death. Jesus spoke about the importance of priorities in our lives: "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 1:14). 6,21).
Our innermost being, our heart, is determined by what we focus on, what we prioritize and what we value. If our heart is attached to material worldly values, self-presenting people, great knowledge and high ideas, we see who or what is our treasure.
Jesus, our Savior, fills our hearts with his word: “In Christ we find God, because in him we find him in all his fullness. And so God lives in you, if you are in Christ” (Colossians 2:1-4). 2,9-10 Hope for All). He shows us the way into his divine kingdom into a close and warm relationship with our Father in heaven and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the treasure of our hearts: "God wanted to make known to them what are the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, namely, Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1,27).
It may be that our hearts have become calcified with age and suffer from cardiac arrhythmia. The heart is alive enough to recognize that it is connected to the greatest treasure. Jesus, who rose from the dead, is a guarantor of our lives. That is why I say to all dear fellow human beings near and far, dedicate your lives to this treasure. He not only has the power to heal illness, but to raise the dead from the dead. These words are not just a pious wish, but correspond to the truth.
Jesus is the treasure of our hearts. If we put Jesus first in our lives, then no one can separate us from our wonderful treasure because we are connected to him from heart to heart. I encourage you to walk this path with Jesus because that is how you experience real life.
