Only for your eyes

But as it is written: "What no eye has seen, no ear has heard and what has not entered the heart of any man, what God has prepared for those who love him" (1. Corinthians 2,9).

While I was waiting for my turn to have my eyes examined, it occurred to me how wonderfully our eyes are made. As I pondered the miracles of the eyes, several scriptures came to mind that opened my eyes to see the power of Jesus to make the blind see. Many miracles are recorded in the Bible for us to study. The man who was blind from birth and was healed by Christ said: “I do not know whether he is a sinner; I know one thing, that I was blind and now see »(Johannes 9,25).

We were all spiritually blind, but God opened our eyes so we could see the truth in the scriptures. Yes! I was spiritually blind from birth, but now see through faith, because God has made my heart light up. I see in the person of Jesus Christ the full splendor of God's glory (2. Corinthians 4,6). Just as Moses saw him who is invisible (Hebrews 11,27).

It is very comforting to know that God is watching over us to protect us. "For the eyes of the Lord roam all the earth to show themselves mighty in those whose hearts are undivided on him" (2. Chronicle 16,9). Let us also take a look at the Book of Proverbs: "For every path is before the eyes of the Lord, and he is careful of all his paths" (Proverbs 5,21). "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, looking to the bad and the good" (Proverbs 15,3). No one can escape the eyes of the Lord!

God is the builder of our eyes. Every now and then our eyes have to be examined by an optician for better vision. Thank God who gave us eyesight to see His amazing creation around us. Many more, let us thank God for opening our spiritual eyes to understand His glorious truth. By the spirit of wisdom and revelation we know the hope God gave us when he called us; what a rich and wonderful inheritance he has in store among his holy people (Ephesians 1,17-18).

If you have to wait to get your eyes checked, consider the wonder of your vision. Close your eyes to see nothing. Then open your eyes and look at things around you. Wonder upon wonder, "in a twinkling, in a twinkling, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised immortal, and we shall be changed" (1. Corinthians 15,52). We will see Jesus in his glory and we will be like him, we will see him with our own eyes as he really is (1. John 3,1-3). Praise and give thanks to Almighty God for all of his miracles.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for having created us reverentially and wonderfully in your image. One day we will see how your son Jesus Christ really is. For this I praise you in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen
