New life

Dear reader, dear reader

In spring, it is a great pleasure for me to experience how the power of little flowers or snowdrops is so strong that they steadfastly make their way through the snow to the light. Only a few months before, they were planted as small tubers in the ground and they now enjoy the new life as part of the creation.

What you experience naturally through the wonder of creation is a symbol of the deeper dimension of your life. Your physical life is comparable to the development of a magnificent flower from a tuber from day one. The question is, at what stage are you at the moment?

Be that as it may, in every state of your life you can have the full certainty that the almighty Creator loves you and that you are much more valuable in his eyes than the most beautiful flowers. "Why are you worried about clothing? Look at the lilies in the field, how they grow: They do not work, nor do they spin. I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of them." (Matthew 6,28-29).

In addition, Jesus assures you that he will give you new life if you believe in him. And not just for a short bloomstime, but for eternity.

The excellence of this comparison is the example of Jesus. He lived a sinless life and gave it to you and me as a sinner, so that we share in his eternal life. Jesus opened the way for us with his suffering, death and resurrection. He brings you and me from temporal life to the new, eternal life in his kingdom.

I believe this truth is a real joy. It is as strong as the sun on the cover picture, which melts the snow. Imagine that Jesus, the greatest servant of the new creation, wants to share life with you. I wish you a happy Easter season in the power of the new life in Jesus Christ
