Trinitarian, Christ-centered theology

Trinitarian Christ-centered theologyThe mission of the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) is to work with Jesus to ensure that the Gospel is lived and preached. Our understanding of Jesus and his good news of grace has fundamentally changed during the last decade of the 20th century as a result of a reformation of our teachings. This led to the fact that the existing beliefs of the WKG are now also aligned with the biblical doctrines of the historical-orthodox Christian creed.

Now that we are in the first decade of WWII1. Century, the transformation of the WKG continues with the focus on theological Reformation. This Reformation develops on the foundation that gives all reformed WCG teachings a firm hold - it is the answer to the extremely important theological question:

Who is jesus

Who is the key word of this question. At the heart of theology is not a concept or a system, but a living person, Jesus Christ. Who is this person? He is completely God, being one with the Father and the Holy Spirit, the second person of the Trinity, and he is completely human, being one with all mankind through his Incarnation. Jesus Christ is the unique union of God and man. It is not only the focus of our academic research, Jesus is our life. Our belief is based on his person and does not consist in ideas or beliefs about him. Our theological considerations stem from a deep act of wonder and adoration. Indeed, theology is belief in search of understanding.

While we have been devoutly studying what we call Trinitarian, Christ-centered theology in recent years, our understanding of the fundamentals of our reformed tenets has expanded considerably. Our goal now is to inform preachers and members of the WKG about the continued theological reformation of their religious community and to call them to participate actively. Through our common walk with Jesus our knowledge grows and deepens and we ask for his guidance for every further step.

As we delve deeper into this material, we confess the imperfection of our understanding and ability to convey such deep truth. On the one hand, the most appropriate and useful response to the overwhelming theological truth that we understand in Jesus is simply to put our hand over our mouth and remain in silent silence. On the other hand, we also feel the call of the Holy Spirit to proclaim this truth - to trumpet from the roofs, not in arrogance or condescension, but in love and with all the clarity that is available to us.
